Abstract This paper details the design and implementation of a distance alert circuit based on a microcontroller, specifically aimed at preventing children from getting lost and protecting valuable items. The system utilizes the MCS-51 series microcontroller, with the STC89C52 as the main controller, to create a wireless transmission and receiving system. When an object equipped with the transmitter moves beyond a specified distance of 15 meters from the receiver, the system triggers an alarm using both a buzzer and indicator light to alert the user of a potential loss. The system is comprised of two main components - the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter, equipped with the STC89C52 microcontroller and 2.4G wireless module, is responsible for sending signals to the receiver. The receiver, on the other hand, consists of the same microcontroller and wireless module, as well as additional circuits for indicator lights and alarm bells. This setup ensures that both the transmitter and receiver can sound an alarm in case of a lost connection, providing an added layer of security. The key features of this distance alert circuit include its affordability, compact size, portability, energy efficiency, and resistance to interference. The use of a microcontroller and wireless technology allows for seamless communication between the transmitter and receiver, ensuring quick and effective alerts in case of separation. Overall, the design of this distance alert circuit serves as a reliable solution for child supervision and theft prevention of valuable items.
