Based on the hardware structure and software design of the STC89C52-based multi-functional electronic calendar, this paper introduces the system which comprises of four main modules: data display module, temperature acquisition module, time processing module, and adjustment setting module. The system is controlled by the STC89C52 microcontroller, with the DS1302 serial clock calendar chip recording the calendar and time information. The calendar chip allows for precise timing of year, month, day, hour, minute, and second, along with leap year compensation and other functions. The temperature is collected using the DS18B20 chip, and the calendar is displayed in a clear digital format. The data is displayed on a 1602A LCD module, showing year, month, day, weekday, hour, minute, and second simultaneously, and providing features such as time calibration. This electronic calendar offers advantages such as easy readability, intuitive display, diverse functionality, simple circuitry, and low cost, making it highly promising for the market. The incorporation of temperature sensing and LCD display enhances its appeal and practicality. Moving forward, this design has the potential to meet a wide range of consumer needs and preferences, making it a viable choice for various applications in daily life or professional settings.
