In the research sample of the portable electronic scale based on the single-chip microcomputer, the application of electronic scales in various fields such as industrial and mining companies, transportation, commercial trade, and scientific and technological research, and even in every family, has become increasingly prevalent. The electronic scale is an important branch in this research field. However, due to the cost and functional limitations of the weighing controller, it has always restricted the further popularization and application of electronic scales in various fields. Therefore, product updates and replacements are essential for production and social development. In recent years, the emergence of new single-chip microcontrollers and the development of sensing technology have provided conditions for the design of updated products and the development of high-performance and cost-effective weighing controllers. We have adopted the M68HC05 single-chip microcomputer to develop a dedicated electronic scale weighing controller for use in special occasions. The research work has integrated various functions of the weighing controller and conducted exploratory research on electronic scales with special usage requirements. Starting from the basic composition of the electronic scale, this paper analyzes the software and hardware for implementing various special functions of electronic scales, and finally proposes some improvement ideas.
