The design of a digital controlled DC current source based on the MSP430 microcontroller is described in this document. The system utilizes the MSP430F2274 microcontroller from Texas Instruments (TI) as the control core and incorporates a feedback-stabilized series adjustable voltage source to continuously set the current value. The system consists of the D/A converter TLC5615, ZLG7289, Chinese character library LCD display module, amplification circuit, and high-power adjustment circuit. The desired current value is inputted through an independent keyboard. The D/A converter converts the digital signal into an analog signal, which is then outputted as the reference voltage for the constant current source. The stable output characteristics of the transistor are utilized to obtain a constant current output. The output current is finally displayed on the Chinese LCD display. The system adopts a closed-loop control principle in combination with a feedback circuit, making the entire circuit a closed loop. The software implementation mainly utilizes the PID algorithm to achieve precise control over the output current. The system exhibits high reliability, compact size, simple operation, and a user-friendly human-machine interface.
