Design and implementation of a Chinese chess game using QT is crucial in today's digital age where the internet has become an indispensable part of people's lives. As a popular form of entertainment, online games have captured the interest of a growing number of enthusiasts. In order to cater to the needs of Chinese chess enthusiasts and allow them to enjoy the fun of online gaming, this project has successfully implemented a Chinese chess game that can be played over a local area network. The implementation of this Chinese chess program can be divided into two main parts: standalone and network gameplay. Considering the characteristics of a local area network and the requirements of game battles, a client-server architecture was adopted to facilitate communication between players. The program comprises several key modules, including a graphical interface assistant, network communication module, image rendering module, and rule setting module. Currently, the most popular online casual games are card and board games, which have a high demand in the market. By analyzing online connectivity and relevant algorithms, this project has utilized QT 5.4-based cross-platform software design to enable Chinese chess gameplay across multiple platforms. Key features of the program include a client-server architecture, image rendering, cross-platform compatibility, network communication, and stack implementation. In conclusion, the design and implementation of a Chinese chess game using QT have provided an enjoyable and engaging experience for players interested in online gaming. The use of modern technologies and software design principles has ensured a seamless and robust gameplay experience across different platforms. With the increasing popularity of online games, this project serves as a valuable contribution to the gaming community, offering a new and interactive way to enjoy the traditional game of Chinese chess.
