Abstract With the improvement of the social level, more and more people begin to engage in flower cultivation. However, people often have busy schedules and tend to forget to water their flowers. How to water flowers in a reasonable and timely manner has become a difficult problem for flower cultivation. This system is based on an intelligent watering system using the AT89C52 single-chip microcontroller. The system uses sensors to detect soil moisture and temperature, transmitting this information to the microcontroller. The microcontroller then determines if the flowers need watering and controls an electric motor to water the plants automatically. The system includes two main functions: timed watering and watering based on humidity levels. Timed watering allows the system to automatically open the electric motor at a set time each day to water the plants. Users can adjust the watering duration by setting the time the electromagnetic valve is open. The system also includes a humidity sensor (SHT-11) to monitor the humidity levels in the soil. If the humidity levels do not reach the set threshold, the system will start watering the plants until the desired humidity level is reached. This system not only waters the plants on time and in the correct amount, but also helps conserve water resources, promoting better plant growth. Overall, the intelligent watering system based on the AT89C52 single-chip microcontroller offers an efficient, effective solution to the challenge of watering plants for flower cultivation.
