基于SUPANET的故障恢复研究:服务质量的挑战和改进

Based on the research on fault recovery of SUPANET, it is found that Internet, which was born in the 1970s as a network with a focus on text data transmission, has high demands for correctness and low demands for real-time performance. However, with the increase of multimedia network applications in the Internet, the "best effort" service of the Internet is unable to meet the quality of service requirements for new data streams, posing a major challenge. Although the Internet community has tried to improve the quality of service of the Internet by adding quality of service guarantee technologies at the IP layer, such as resource reservation protocols, integrated services, and differentiated services, the existing three-layer data transmission platform of the Internet has low data transmission efficiency and it is difficult to implement quality of service control. In response to the shortcomings of the existing network system structure in terms of quality of service assurance, the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Network Communication Technology has proposed the "Single Physical layer User-data transfer and exchange platform architecture" (SUPA).
