Design of the Internet of Things in Intelligent Warehouse
Management
ABSTRACT: Warehouse management is the planning,organizing,controlling and
coordinating process which the warehouse organization carries out for the sake of taking full
advantage of the storage resources,including putting the goods in and fetching them out from
the warehouse and managing them These works are all required high strength and accuracy,a
new thechnology which can identify the goods and collect their information automatically is
needed urgently to Improve the working efficiency and reduce the workload. The key point of
warehouse management is identifying the goods and collecting their information
automatically, RFID tag becaomes the key point of automatically identifying with its unique
advantages, and the Intenet of Things provides an efficient, fast network platform of
Information sharing and exchanging for the goods.
In this thesis, the warehouse management system based on the Internet of Things is
proposed,which achieves identifying the goods and collect their information automatically by
using EPC,RFID adn middleware as the bridge of goods identifying ,and using the ONS
service as the means of information collecting.Using this system,the efficiency can be
improved Significantly,not only increasing the amount of the goods which is needed to
processed,but also reducing the mistakes which might be taken by manual operations.
