Abstract: As computer technology advances rapidly, universities have also entered the era of informatization. In order to make student records management work in universities more efficient and scientific, it is imperative to develop a student records management system for universities. This paper adopts the method of structured analysis to detail the front-end and back-end development, operation process, and key technologies involved in a powerful student records management system for universities. The feasibility analysis was carried out first, followed by system analysis. Through actual business process research, the business process and organizational structure of the system were analyzed, and data flow analysis and data dictionary were completed. The system design phase was then completed, mainly dividing the functional modules, elaborating on the design principles, database design, and tools and technologies used in system design. B/S mode was adopted in the system design, using JSP technology for basic page design and functionality implementation, with SQL2000 database chosen for the backend. System administrators only need to connect to the network to manage the system, providing good conditions for student records management work in universities. Keywords: university student records; structured analysis; B/S mode; JSP In conclusion, this paper has thoroughly discussed the design and implementation of a student records management system for universities using structured analysis. The system aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of managing student records in higher education institutions by utilizing modern technology and tools. With the adoption of B/S mode and JSP technology, the system provides a user-friendly interface for administrators to easily manage student records. Overall, this system provides a solid foundation for universities to streamline their student records management processes and adapt to the digital era.
