Communication system simulation has broad adaptability and excellent flexibility, which helps us to better study the performance of communication systems. This paper first introduces the basic content of communication system simulation, including the general steps of communication system simulation. A thorough theoretical study of communication systems is essential. This paper provides a detailed explanation of some important aspects in communication systems, including channels, noise, digital transmission of analog signals, channel coding, and the principles, methods, and processes of signal modulation. Based on a deep understanding of communication system theory, this paper utilizes the powerful simulation capabilities of MATLAB to design many specific communication system simulation models. In the process of designing simulation models, this paper provides a detailed analysis and explanation of the purpose of model design, specific structural components, simulation process, and simulation results. Theoretical knowledge is used to guide specific practices. Finally, this paper summarizes the research work done and proposes future research directions and work.
