3. Do one of the following to select an existing mode or create a custom mode:

□ Use an existing mode

i. In the Mode box, select an existing mode and click Load Driver Information.

ii. Navigate to the applicable sensor driver text file, e.g., Sensor info.txt and click

Open. Create a sensor driver information file if you do not have one.

□ Add a custom mode

i. Click Add.

ii. In the Sensor Information dialog box, enter a name for the custom mode in the

Mode Name field and click Load Driver Information.

iii. Navigate to the applicable sensor driver text file, e.g., Sensor info.txt and click

Open. Create a sensor driver information file if you do not have one.

5. If the project includes HDR tuning, mark the HDR check box. The check box is only active if HDR

support is available for the selected target chipset.

6. Select the applicable wavelet for the target from the Wavelet list.

7. (Optional) To leverage parameters from a pre-existing header, click Read Header. This option

makes it possible to use all or part of an existing header as a starting point for a new project or

editing an existing project.

a. Navigate to the existing header files, select the default header file (x_default.h), and click

Open. It is not valid to select a file that has a header version that is newer than the project

header version.

b. Follow the Chromatix tool prompts for additional header files (e.g., x_common.h, x_cpp.h,

x_post_proc.h, x_3a.h). The Chromatix tool prompts for the files appropriate to the header

version of the default header selected in the previous step.

c. If the header files selected do not match the project header version, the Chromatix tool

displays an alert. Respond to the prompt.

d. The Header Import Selection dialog box opens with a tab for each of the selected header

files. Clear the check box for any section that should not be imported. If a prior configuration of

the check boxes was saved as a text file, click Load Config to select and apply that

configuration file.

e. To save the configuration of the check boxes as a text file for future use, click Save Config.

f. Click OK to import the selected header sections to the project.

8. Click OK to set the configuration for the tuning project.

9. (Optional for MSM8994 and newer devices that support the raw snapshot feature) To leverage

parameters from a preconfigured target device, connect the target device and click Read Device.

If a device is connected, the header information is read from the device and the sensor information

is automatically updated.

10. Select File > Save Project as. Enter a name for the tuning project and click Save. Chromatix

project files have the extension .cxprj.

2.1.1 Create a sensor driver informaon le

If the sensor driver information file is not available, create a text file based on the sensor setting

information provided by the sensor vendor or enter the sensor information directly into the Sensor

Information dialog box. A separate file is needed for each mode in the project.

It is important that this information match the intended raw input files, i.e., image dimension, Bayer

pattern, etc., or Chromatix will not able to correctly read the input files.

If you choose to manually create a text file, the required format of the sensor driver information text file

is as follows:
