The design first analyzes the composition structure and basic principle of the ball and beam system, and then establishes a relatively simplified model of the ball and beam system; using relevant fuzzy control principles, establish fuzzy control rules for the ball and beam system, and then design a fuzzy controller for the ball and beam system. And establish a simulation model of the controller in the MATLAB simulation environment, simulate the ball and beam system, test the control performance of the fuzzy controller. In view of the inherent instability of the ball and beam system, a closed-loop feedback control loop is added during simulation. This can not only improve the stability of the system, but also improve the control accuracy. Compared with other general controls, it has unique advantages and is more in line with human thinking. The ball and beam system, as a classic case in the study of control theory today, integrates with fuzzy control, which can better demonstrate the excellent characteristics of fuzzy control in automatic control.
