The development of a departmental portal website for the software engineering department is the focus of this research project. The paper introduces the choice of framework, the design of system requirements, testing of system functionality and performance, and the design of relationships between database tables. The system selected the SpringBoot framework to build the platform, which to some extent has accelerated the development efficiency, and the use of relational databases ensures stability and robustness of the system. The main content of this project focuses on the software engineering department, including user access management, uploading and downloading of school documents, importing and exporting of excel files, showcasing student achievements, introduction of majors and directions, showcasing of teachers, and an overview of the department. This chapter introduces the design plan and testing process of the portal system, and provides some personal insights on the results of the design process. In conclusion, the development of a departmental portal website for the software engineering department is crucial for efficient information dissemination and showcasing of the department's activities and achievements. The use of the SpringBoot framework, along with robust database management, ensures a stable and secure platform for users. The features of user access management, document management, and showcasing of student and faculty accomplishments make the portal website a valuable tool for both internal and external stakeholders. Through careful design and testing processes, the portal website is able to fulfill its intended functions effectively. Overall, the project has succeeded in creating a functional and user-friendly portal website for the software engineering department, contributing to the department's online presence and communication with the larger community.
