With the increasing integration of smartphones into people's daily lives, they have become the primary device for accessing information. This has led to significant development in mobile entertainment and information retrieval applications. The Quick Query Software for mobile phones is one such example. The Android platform provides a convenient and accessible environment for the design and implementation of quick query services, thereby offering a better platform for the development of such services. Additionally, Android is largely free, effectively reducing the cost of software and allowing every user to freely access information, thus contributing to the popularization of quick query services. This paper analyzes the system architecture and component model of the Android platform, and further explores the important APIs and application components within Android. It also delineates the mechanisms of Intent and the application lifecycle. Building upon this foundation, a quick query weather application is designed and developed for the Android platform. The system features a user-friendly interface, convenient operation, and excellent scalability and maintainability. After rigorous testing, the system is proven to run stably and effectively meet the basic needs of mobile phone users. Key words: Smartphone, Android, API, User
