Manufacturing enterprises are not only significant contributors to the national economy, but also the main driving force behind the future of information technology. The advent of e-commerce has presented manufacturing enterprises with unprecedented opportunities, making it imperative for them to embrace e-commerce as a means of achieving their own development. The e-commerce model is a crucial aspect for enterprises engaging in e-commerce. While there are various models available to address the challenges faced by enterprises in the process of applying e-commerce, not all of them are specifically tailored for manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, manufacturing enterprises must choose the appropriate model based on their own specific circumstances. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the definition of e-commerce models, outlines several common e-commerce models, and analyzes the numerous advantages of applying e-commerce in manufacturing enterprises. It then focuses on the application of manufacturing enterprises in the B2B, B2C, and B2G models. Furthermore, it proposes an overall strategy for manufacturing enterprises to implement e-commerce models. Lastly, the paper concludes by summarizing the application of e-commerce in manufacturing enterprises. Manufacturing enterprises must carefully select the appropriate application model at different stages of development, continually improving and adjusting in all aspects in order to withstand the tests of the market. Through effective implementation of e-commerce models, manufacturing enterprises can capitalize on the opportunities presented by the digital economy and secure their position in the global marketplace.
