With the continuous development of electronic technology, pulse width modulation (PWM) technology is increasingly being used in motor speed control. In particular, the continuous development of single-chip application technology has made PWM speed control technology the mainstream of motor speed control. This design presents a DC motor speed control system based on a single-chip microcontroller. The system uses an MCS-8051 single-chip microcontroller as the core to generate PWM signals. The output PWM signal is directly controlled by the LMD18200 driver circuit to control the DC motor's start, speed, pause, and direction changes. The designed keyboard human-machine interface allows for easy changing of the PWM state, thereby conveniently changing the motor's operating state. The motor's speed can be easily displayed on the digital display. Through experimentation, this design can not only achieve DC motor startup, forward and reverse rotation, and sequential control, but also facilitate speed control with high precision, demonstrating practical value.
