"MATLAB图像锐化算法研究与仿真:方法比较与改进探讨"
Abstract: In the process of image acquisition, various factors can lead to degradation in image quality. The purpose of image enhancement is to selectively highlight information that is useful for human or machine analysis, while suppressing irrelevant information to improve the usability of the image. Image sharpening is a spatial domain local operation method within image enhancement, aimed at enhancing and identifying the edge and contour information of an image. The specific method of image sharpening involves making image edges more prominent and clear through differentiation. The most commonly used method for image sharpening is gradient sharpening. Apart from gradient algorithms, there are also other methods for image sharpening such as Roberts, Prewitt, Sobel, and Laplacian. This paper provides an introduction, comparison, and analysis of these methods. Additionally, an introduction to MATLAB is given, and MATLAB language is used to implement and record results of certain image sharpening algorithms. Through simulation and comparison of various algorithms, each algorithm has its own advantages and disadvantages. After analyzing the characteristics of the images used in this paper, an improvement was made to the Laplacian algorithm by using high boost filtering to increase the brightness of the image. Experimental results demonstrate that this method is effective and achieves the desired sharpening effect. Keywords: Image enhancement; Edge detection; MATLAB; Image sharpening.
